WELCOME

The Panama Chamber of Shipping is a solid association that watches over the interests of the Panamanian Maritime sector.

During the last 40 years, Panama has managed to place itself in the market achieving worldwide recognition as leaders in the maritime field. It is up to us to unit ourselves internally, to continue optimizing the levels of efficiency and carry on fulfilling the expectations of the growing market.

Our economy is growing, especially the maritime industry.

The widening of the canal has created expectations that place us as an important indisputable part in the international maritime sector. It is a challenge which we have assumed with responsibility and which we will confront in the name of the country’s economic welfare.

We are adding forces, not only because of what the widening of the Panama Canal means, but that this growth is supported by a solid maritime industry that has ports which offer a great capacity and quality service, that we are capable of offering related services, that there are rules and international standards, that we are pro-active and we are cautious with our valuable assets.

Nowadays we are allies who look for common goals; to offer better training and maritime education tools; to participate in the development and a long range solid maritime strategy; to offer the wide professional knowledge gathered in the distinguished members of the Panama Chamber of Shipping in order to present it at the disposition of the state, to the maritime organizations and to the same industry.

This is our contribution to Panama as an organization.

Best Regards,

Eng. Marvin Castillo
President
